April 5, 2007 My Very First Blog

Hi everyone!  This is so exciting!  I love blogging!   I have so much to blog about, with it being the beginning of baseball season and all, but I'll keep this one short.  I don't want to bore anyone.

My M's are off to a fast start, although they lost last night.  Still I am very encouraged we took two out of three from Oakland.  Felix looked strong with 8 shut out innings and 12 K's!!  Wow!!  JJ closed the game out, so it good to see him healthy.  We still need to get our offense going...again.

I don"t want to brag but I do want to mention that the Pirates, who I picked to have a strong year this year are off to a 3-0 start.  We'll have to see if I am still right a few months from now.   That's all for now, TTYL

April 6, 2007 Saved By the Weather
Thank God for the snow!   We were one out from an official game, losing 4-0 when the umps called it because of snow.   That was close.  I would be mad if I was an Indian fan, but I'm not, so I'm happy.  TTYL

April 7, 2007 Snowed out again!
The double header for today was snowed out too.  Oh well, this does give me time to invite eveyone to join my Foxxy Fantasy League.  It will be lots of fun, it is our own league, open to all fans of FoxxySports.  I have my team, The Foxxes (what else?) and I'd love to play against you.  We have only 19 spots available, so act quickly.  The deadline is April 26th.   Just go to the front page of foxxysports.com and click on the Yahoo Fantasy logo.  There are instructions on the front page.  I can't wait to show you how a foxxy girl plays fantasy baseball.  TTYL

April 10, 2007 14-3  Ouch!!!!
Not much to tallk about.  Jeff Weaver was back to being the old can't throw strikes Jeff Weaver, instead of the blow them away Jeff Weaver he was in last years playoffs.  That's the trouble with Jeff, you never know who you are going to get when he takes the mound.  Oh well, it's a long season, we'll forget about this game by the first pitch of tomorrow's.  TTYL

April 11, 2007 Felix Shows Up DiceK
This totally made up for yesterday's game.  Felix was amazing, groundball after groundball after groundball.  I really thought he was going to get  a no hitter, the Red Sox hitters were clueless against him.  Now I saw DiceK pitch a one hitter in spring training so I know he's the real thing too, but today, Feilx was absolutely the King!

April 14, 2007 Just Got Back From Safeco!!!

Sorry, but I was away from my computer for a few days.  I went back home to Tacoma and saw the home  opener of the Tacoma Rainiers.  Typically, it rained, but I still had a great time.  Adam Jones looked awesome.  I can't wait until he gets to Seattle.

Speaking of which, I went up to see the Mariners beat the Rangers the next day. Yeah!  It was cold, but I had a blast.  I love Safeco.  It is so pretty.

You can see my reports from both games in upcoming videos, so look for them.  TTYL

April 24, 2007 Sorry, I'm Back
No more excuses,  I  will make sure I blog nearly every day from now on.   Lots to talk about.   I'll start with my second favorite team, the Reds, and my favorite player growing up, Ken Griffey Jr.   He just hit his first home run of the season, moving him past Reggie Jackson for 10th place all time.  Wow, in the top ten of all players, that's pretty special.  Hopefully if he can keep this up and stay healthy, the Reds might have a chance in the Central. No one else seems to want to win it.   TTYL

April 25, 2007 Washburn 3 Hits A's
This was nice, especially with Felix on the DL.   I'm still worried about the M's offense.  Ichiro is only hitting .313, Beltre and Sexson  are still proving to be busts.  There is no way they can compete if they keep this up.  TTYL

April 26, 2007 Bullpen Looks Sharp

Another victory over the A's,  Yeah!!  Im not sure we have the hitters this year to compete with the Angels, but I have been impressed with our  bullpen so far.  Putz's injury has not been an issue, and I really think Reitsma can be a great setup man for him.   I like that Hargrove is not afraid to use Putz earlier than the ninth if a tough situation presents itself, like tonight.  BTW, went to

IN 'N OUT (West Coast burger joint)  tonight and had the animal fries.  That's a large order of fries with grilled onions, thousand island dressing and cheese on top.  OMG, they're amazing.  TTYL

April 27, 2007 Fantasy League Draft

Had my fantasy league draft today, here's my team-

C-  Brain McCann (Great bat)

1B- Mark Teixeira (could improve on)

2B-  Chase Utley (one of my favorite players)

3B-   A-Rod (uhg, but I hope he keeps it up)

SS-  Miquel Tejada (very happy)

OF-  Bobby Abreu (I hate the Yankees, but he's a great fantasy guy)

OF-  Juan Pierre (Wish I had him two years ago, as do the Dodgers)

OF- Gary Sheffield  (See Michael Young)

UTL-  Michael Young (off to a slow start which is what I like, he won't be hitting under .200 all year)

SP- Scott Kazmir (Love this guy even if he plays for Tampa Bay)

SP- Justin Verlander (Very Happy)

RP- Bobby Jenks  (Closer for good team, nice)

RP-  Brian Fuentes (Closer for not so good team, still nice)

I am trying to pick up two more pitchers but must wait until waivers on Monday.

Overall very happy.  TTYL

May 1, 2007 Bronson Gets First Win!

Our buddy Bronson Arroyo finally got his first win of the season today.  He's pitched great so far, but was a victim of a bad bullpen and no run support.  But the Reds more than made up for it tonight, scoring 11 runs for him.  It looks like he should have another solid year if the offense can keep it up.

BTW, picked up a buch of pitchers for my fantasy team.   Bartolo Colon, Brad Penny, Ted Lilly, Akinori Otsuka, Takashi Saito, Jason Isringhausen, Ian Snell, John Maine, and Cliff Lee.  I figure you can never have too much pitching.  TTYL

May 3 2007 Manny Being Manny Being A Jerk
Did you see that?  What a jerk?  It was like he never hit a home run before.  Big whoop, you hit a homer in May!  What are you doing staring at it?  Are your feet glued to the ground?   I don't know, that was not cool,  not cool at all.  That makes me soooooo mad!!!!  Anyway, at least we proved that Dice K is human.  Jeff Weaver might give up five runs in the first inning, but at least we didn't have to pay him over $100 million to do it.  TTYL

May 7, 2007 I'm In First Place!

It's just one week, but I am in first place in the FoxxySports fantasy league.  I was able to beat my good friend Monica in our first series, 9-5.  Yea me!  TTYL

May 9, 2007 Only A Half Game Out!
The M's have hittinghte ball lately, hopefully they can keep it up.  This is a good sign, that tehy are only .5 games out of first, and Ichiro is hitting only .24 with only 2 SB's.  You know he won't be hitting below .320 by the All-Star break, so I am feeling pretty optimistic.  TTYL

May 11, 2007 C. Trent Rosecrans Interview

At the Dodger Reds game I got a chance to interview C. Trent Rosecrans, the Reds Beat Writer for the Cincinnati Post.  He has a great blog every day, as he blogs every Reds game.  He is really funny and personal in his blogs, writing about the music that's played in each stadium, off-beat player stories and even about a local female sports reporter he has his eyes on.   It was a great interview, he is as funny in person as he is in his blogs.   We should be posting that interview in at least two parts very soon.  Check out this link for his daily blog.     Trent Rosecrans Blog   TTYL

May 13, 2007 I'm going to be on King TV Evening Magazine!
I am so excited!   King Tv's Evening Magazine, one of the Northwests top rated shows, is doing a clip show of local celebrities and I guess I qualify.  It mostly is embarrassing clips, kinda like a blooper reel, so I am going to look kinda silly, but it should be very funny.   It will air this Monday the 14th and Tues the 15th at 7 pm.  If you live in the Northwest, look for it, it will be a blast!  TTYL

May 15, 2007 Griffey Homers In Extra's
Nice to see the Reds finally win a game, and extra nice that my favortie palyer growing up hit the winning homer in extra innings.  When Phillips was thrown out the inning before with Junior at the plate I was mad, but now it doesn't matter.  Marty always says you see something new every day, and that balk to let the tying run in was another example.

May 16, 2007 IGN Babe Of The Day!
I will be the IGN.com babe of the day on Friday.   look for really sexy pics of me on ign.com in the "babes" section.   Yea me!   ttyl

May 18, 2007 Inter-league Play
Today starts this year's inter-league play.  I have mixed feelings about it.  I first loved it, since growing up in Seattle, it was the only way for me to see National League teams.  But now with the unbalanced schedule, it just seems to screw up the schedule.   And Seattle seems to play the same National League teams every year.  It would be nice if it was half as many games every year, and it was a different set of teams every year.  But I guess they want the big rivelrys every year to boost ratings.  Oh well.   TTYL
